Hi all
well, I might not have much of anywhere to go if i install team talk, but i'm curious to see if it woulod work on this computer. Some of u may remember i tried to install it on my 8 year old computer using windows 98. I did instrall it, but when i tried to connect to a server, i got an error message saying failure to initiate sound system, which i was told meant the sound card wasn't working with it, even though at th etime i was using double talk so there wouldn't be any conflict with th esound card. Now I have a new computer barely 6 months old, and its a multichannel sound card using real tek audio, so as i say, i' mjust curious to find out if it will work on this computer. So can anyone suggest a server and a room for me to go to if i install it? thanks,

ok, i went to www.bearware.dk and tried to download team talk, but i must've installed the wrong file or something, although there wasn't any other file that matched my os. I'm using windows xp. There were 2 links for us windows users, there was v2.1 for windows 2000/xp, and v3.1 for windows9x/2000/xp. Which each file, it seems to be too small a file size or something, the file size is 39 k which i thought didn't sound quite right, but there were only those 2 links so i tried the one for 2000 and xp first. When i tried to open the file, it said something about it not being a valid win32 file. What gives? if both of those files were the wrong ones, where is the actual program file?
